I am very lucky, and sometimes great company's I am associated with, give me the privilege of popping info up on their BLOGS. This link is one such company that I have been associated with for some time now. PT Academy run a fantastic Certificate III and IV in Fitness Course and are the distributers of most of the education I get to coach. My recent blog for them was an update to some earlier blogs on Heart Rate Variability. Unfortunately some of the pictures didn't come out, so. Here is the link to the Blog on PT Academy's web site. You will need to visit the original blog so the pictures and statements below are in context.
And below are the associated pictures :)
"The picture to the right is a screen shot of the HRV App that I use. The simple explanation here is that my HRV is LOW. It is telling me to not do high-intensity stuff today! (And yes, I did listen!)."

"As you can see, I was able to improve my HRV. Because my lifestyle factors are trending negatively, I am still being asked to limit intensity, but the numbers have gone up. Thus, I have reduced my systemic stress and therefore my chances of increased all-cause cardiac and arrhythmic mortality".
